“年”是一段很长的时间，一年有十二个月。
"年" is a long period of time; one year has twelve months.
我们说“今年”“去年”，也用“年”来数时间，比如“三年”。
We say "今年" (this year) and "去年" (last year), and also use "年" to count time, for example, "三年" (three years).
