「亡くす」は、家族や友達などの大切な人が死んで、いなくなることを言います。
"亡くす" means that an important person like family or friends dies and is no longer here.
物をなくす時は「無くす」と書きますが、人が死ぬ時は「亡くす」を使います。
When losing things, you write "無くす", but when a person dies, you use "亡くす".
