「広げる」は、小さかった物や場所を大きくしたり、たたんだ物を開いたりする時に使います。
"広げる" is used when making something small or a space larger, or when unfolding something folded.
地図やハンカチを開く時にも、お店や活動を大きくする時にも使えます。
