Description

「覚める」は、ねむっていた人が目を開けて、起きた状態になることです。

"覚める" means when a sleeping person opens their eyes and wakes up.

お酒のよいや、夢中だった気持ちがなくなる時にも使います。

It is also used when the effects of alcohol or an intense feeling disappear.
