「里帰り」は、けっこんした人や家をはなれた人が、自分の親の家に帰ることです。
"里帰り" means that a married person or someone who has left home returns to their parents' house.
とくに、お正月やお盆に、遠くの親の家へ行くときによく使います。
It is especially used when going to a distant relative's house during New Year's or Obon.
