「しかも」は、前に言ったことに、もっと何かをつけたすときに使います。

"しかも" is used when adding something more to what was said before.

いいことにも、わるいことにも使えて、「そのうえ」という意味です。

It can be used for both good and bad things, meaning "moreover."
