「みたい」は、何かにていることや、そうだとおもうことをつたえるときにつかいます。

"みたい" is used to express resemblance to something or to indicate what one thinks is the case.

「雨みたい」のように名詞のあとにつけたり、「食べたみたい」のように文のあとにつけたりします。

"みたい" is attached after nouns, as in "雨みたい," or after sentences, as in "食べたみたい."
