「乗り越え」は、大変な問題やつらいことを、なんとか通り抜けることを表します。
"乗り越え" means to somehow get through a difficult problem or hardship.
「困難の乗り越え」のように使ったり、電車で降りる駅を通り過ぎてしまう「乗り越し」と近い意味で使うこともあります。
It is used like in "困難の乗り越え" (overcoming difficulties) and can also be used similarly to "乗り越し," which means passing the station where you should get off the train.
