Start with Super beginner videos — slow, visual Chinese that assumes almost nothing. Watch daily, and move up a level when the current one feels easy.
How are videos graded into levels?
Langly measures every video's vocabulary against its whole Chinese corpus and assigns one of five levels, from Super beginner to Advanced — so the level reflects the actual words used, not a guess.
How many hours of input do I need?
As a rough roadmap: about 50 hours to clear Super beginner, 150 total for Beginner, 300 for Low intermediate, 600 for High intermediate, and 1200 to reach Advanced. Langly tracks your hours automatically as you watch.
