Description

「そうです」は、相手の言ったことが正しいと伝えるときや、ていねいに「はい」と答えるときに使います。

"そうです" is used to indicate that what the other person said is correct or to politely say "yes."

また、「雨が降るそうです」のように、ほかの人から聞いた話を伝えるときにも使います。

Also, it is used to convey information heard from others, as in "雨が降るそうです" (I heard it will rain).
